Marketing Intern

 

AuCoDe is an AI-based startup on a mission to curb disinformation online and make the internet less toxic. We detect controversies and misinformation online and turn them into actionable intelligence. AuCoDe has been funded by over $1M dollars by the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research program (SBIR), also known as “America’s Seed Fund.”

Position Overview

This for-credit co-op/internship role is perfect for an entrepreneurial self-starter who loves writing, connecting with prospects, and presenting results for practical consumption. On the flip side, you also love building the foundational processes and systems to source, reach out, evaluate, and connect with prospects.

You will lead our marketing efforts and work directly with the CEO & founders as we move the company forward.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Proactively construct and implement a marketing plan for the near-, mid- and long-term in concert with CEO/co-founders

  • Craft a wide variety of marketing materials in collaboration with team, including drafts for written/graphic content, pitch decks and one-pagers, and highly unique infographics

  • Set up systems for consistent marketing & outreach, through a wide variety of technological tools such as CRMs, Web Analytics, social media, editorial calendar, and mailing lists 

  • Source speaking opportunities for executive panels and/or organize virtual events & panels

 

Requirements

  • Seeks a challenge and gets things done

  • Quick learner and self sufficient

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Google Workspace

  • Current student at an academic institution

 

Desired but not Required

  • Professional writing work experience

  • Familiarity with social media management

  • Ability to manage communications with multiple audiences

  • Familiarity with marketing software (E.g. CRM tools, Google analytics, Email Campaign Managers)
